Key Qualifications

• Completion of an Emergency Medicine residency program
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine (ABEM)
• Minimum 1 year of experience in Emergency Medicine or ED settings
• Experience with Cerner EMR preferred (electronic medical record proficiency)
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a high-volume emergency department
• Valid medical license or ability to obtain Indiana medical licensure for locum tenens roles

Responsibilities — Emergency Department / ER Physician

• Provide comprehensive emergency medical care to a diverse patient population in the ED
• Manage 15-20 patient encounters per shift, depending on shift length and acuity
• Assess, stabilize, and treat emergent conditions; order and interpret diagnostic studies
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team with 24/7 support services (anesthesia, surgery, radiology, and more)
• Document patient encounters accurately using Cerner EMR and follow departmental protocols
• Participate in departmental meetings, quality improvement, and patient safety initiatives as needed
