Job description
An acute care hospital in Northwest Ohio is seeking Emergency Medicine Physicians for locum tenens coverage in a moderate-volume Emergency Department. Physicians will work in a collaborative environment alongside MD and APP support while evaluating and treating patients in the ED.
Flexible day, swing, and night shifts are available. The facility uses EPIC EMR and maintains a supportive staffing model.
Board Certified or Board Eligible physicians in Emergency Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Family Medicine are welcome to apply.
Job Responsibilities
Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients presenting to the Emergency Department
Perform procedures within the scope of Emergency Medicine practice
Collaborate with Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) and clinical staff
Supervise and support APP providers when required
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in EPIC EMR
Provide high-quality, patient-centered emergency care
Qualifications
Active Ohio medical license or ability to obtain
ACLS certification required for certain privileges (moderate sedation)
Ability to work in a fast-paced Emergency Department environment
Strong clinical and collaborative skills with physicians and APP staff
Experience with EPIC EMR preferred
Working Hours
Day Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
Swing Shift: 12:00 PM – 12:00 AM
Night Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
Multiple shifts available with a combination of day, swing, and night coverage
Skills
Critical thinking and rapid clinical decision-making
Ability to perform Emergency Medicine procedures within scope of practice
Collaboration with physicians, APPs, and clinical staff
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced Emergency Department environment
Strong communication and patient care skills
Experience with EPIC EMR preferred
