Key Responsibilities:
- Provide emergency medical care to a wide range of patients in a busy hospital setting.
- Cover both 12-hour day and night shifts, including 7a-7p and 7p-7a.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Manage an average of approximately 55-60 patients daily, with an annual volume of 24,500-25,500.
- Utilize Meditech EMR system for documentation and patient management.
- Coordinate transfers to affiliated facilities as needed, including Riverside, Grant, Genesis, OSU, and Aultman hospitals.
Required Skills:
- Valid medical license and board certification in Emergency Medicine.
- Minimum of 5+ shifts per month with consistent availability.
- Proven experience in a high-volume emergency department.
- Strong clinical, diagnostic, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience with transfer coordination.
- Familiarity with the Meditech EMR system.
- Previous work in hospital-based emergency departments.
Preferred Education and Experience:
- MD or DO degree from an accredited institution.
- At least 3 years of clinical emergency medicine experience.
- Prior locum or extensive emergency department experience preferred.
Other Requirements:
- Credentialing timeline of approximately 60+ days; start date as soon as credentialed.
- Must book travel through OVP; no agency-billed rates.
- No overtime; standard 12-hour shifts.
- Medical staff fees are not reimbursed.
- Physician conversion fee capped at $18-$20K.
