Locum - Emergency Medicine - MD/DO

Job Opportunity: Locum Physician - Emergency Medicine in Jackson, OH

Join the dedicated team at a well-respected facility in Jackson, Ohio, as an experienced Emergency Medicine Provider. Holzer Jackson provides essential care and clinical excellence in a community-focused environment. Ideal candidates should be available for a minimum of 5 shifts a month, with a preference for 8-10 shifts and ongoing availability of 12+ months.

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide emergency medical care during your shifts.
• Oversee advanced practice providers (APPs) in the Emergency Department.
• Deliver timely assessment and treatment plans for patients.
• Manage admissions and write orders as needed.
• Ensure effective communication with consultants, including radiologists and other specialists.
• Participate in the hospital's fast-track system.
• Utilize EMR systems (All Scripts/Paragon) for patient documentation.

Qualifications:

• Board Certification in Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, or Internal Medicine (ABMS/AOA).
• 2+ years of recent experience in Emergency Medicine.
• Strong clinical skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication skills and collaborative abilities.

License and Certification Requirements:

• Current Ohio state medical license (may accept IMLC with proof of LOQ).
• COVID-19 Vaccination (required).
• ACLS, ATLS, BLS, and PALS certifications (required).
• NRP certification (required).
• Clean background and self-query NPDB at the time of name clear.
