Position Overview

One of our Partners in South Carolina, is seeking Emergency Medicine residency-trained physicians for consistent night shift coverage in a high-acuity Level II Trauma Center Emergency Department.

This assignment provides steady overnight work in a busy emergency department with strong clinical support and modern facilities.

• Night Shift: 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM (8-hour shifts)

• Coverage Need: 15–20 shifts per month

• Level II Trauma Center

• Newly built Emergency Department (opened in 2021)

Provider Pay Range: $275–$285/hr (Top 10% Emergency Medicine Locum Market – 2026 data)

Schedule

Primary Coverage

Night Shift:
11:00 PM – 7:00 AM

Typical schedule:

• 15–20 shifts per month

• Weekends particularly needed

All shifts are 8 hours.

Job Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive emergency care

• Perform all emergency medicine procedures

• Evaluate trauma patients

• Manage high-acuity cases

• Treat both adult and pediatric patients

• Coordinate with trauma and hospitalist teams

Skills & Experience

Must be comfortable performing all emergency procedures, including:

• Intubation

• Central lines

• Chest tubes

• Trauma stabilization

• Pediatric emergency care

• Procedural sedation

• Emergency ultrasound
