Average 1–2 patients per hour per provider

No ventilator management required

Admissions handled by Hospitalist and Specialty teams
Specialty Support

24/7 Trauma Service (also covers acute care general surgery consults)

On-call specialties include: Neurology, Ophthalmology, Cardiology (with cath lab), OB/GYN, Orthopedics, Endocrinology, Plastics, GI, Hematology/Oncology, CT Surgery, Intensivist, Nephrology, Neurosurgery, Pediatric Hospitalist, Podiatry, Thoracic Surgery, Vascular Surgery

24/7 crisis counselors available in the ED for psychiatric evaluations
Patient Volume

UPMC Altoona: ~45–50K annual visits (≈137 patients/day)

UPMC Bedford: ~18–19K annual visits (≈51 patients/day)
Start Date & Duration

Start: ASAP, target April 27, 2026 (post-credentialing)

Duration: Ongoing need with likely extension
Schedule

Minimum expectation: 4 shifts per month

Bedford: 7a–7p or 7p–7a (may need to cover mid-level gaps)

Altoona: 10-hour shifts; must be willing to work:
