Job description
Excellent Locum Emergency Medicine opportunity in Michigan for a Board-Certified physician seeking a dynamic Emergency Department setting with rotating 12-hour shifts. This high-acuity ER treats approximately 20,000 annual visits with strong hospital support and specialty backup.
Work alongside experienced physicians and APP support in an 18-bed Emergency Department with efficient patient flow and a collaborative care model. The department handles medical emergencies, trauma stabilization, airway management, and critical care cases with access to 24-hour lab, CT, X-ray, OR, blood bank, and specialty consultation.
This is an ideal opportunity for Emergency Medicine physicians seeking consistent shifts, a manageable patient volume, and a supportive team environment.
Job Responsibilities
• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat acute illnesses and injuries
• Perform emergency procedures including airway management and trauma stabilization
• Supervise APPs as required during shifts
• Respond to hospital codes and provide airway support
• Coordinate admissions, transfers, and specialty consultations
• Utilize Cerner EMR for documentation and order entry
• Interpret EKGs and diagnostic imaging
Qualifications
• Active Michigan Medical License
• DEA Certification
• ATLS/PALS (if applicable)
• Recent NPDB self-query
• Clean background for expedited credentialing
Working Hours
• Day Shift: 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM
• Night Shift: 8:00 PM – 8:00 AM
