An exciting locum tenens opportunity is available for a Board-Certified Emergency Medicine Physician to provide coverage in a busy, well-supported Emergency Department in Michigan. This is a high-demand role offering consistent 24-hour shifts in a collaborative clinical environment.
The ED manages approximately 9,000 annual visits with strong physician and full ED staff support. Providers will treat a broad spectrum of emergency cases in a fast-paced setting utilizing Cerner EHR. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced Emergency Medicine physicians seeking a structured schedule and meaningful patient impact.
Job Responsibilities
• Manage approximately 30 patients per day
• Perform emergency procedures consistent with standard EM scope
• Evaluate, stabilize, and treat acute and critical cases
• Utilize Cerner EHR for documentation
• Collaborate with ED staff and hospitalist team
• Ensure efficient patient flow and high-quality outcomes
Qualifications
• Open to IM/FM with 2+ years of recent Emergency Medicine experience
• Active Michigan Medical License (Required)
• BLS Certification (Required)
• Clean background for expedited credentialing
• NPDB self-query required at presentation
