💰 High-Paying Locum EM Physician| West Branch, MI | Locals Only | Mileage, Lodging & Malpractice Covered

Seeking an experienced Emergency Medicine Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to provide locum coverage for a recruitment gap at a 20-bed freestanding ED with an annual volume of 9,000 visits. This is a local-only assignment in Michigan—candidates must reside in-state.

🏥 ED Overview

• 70% of admissions received from the ED

• 1% of ED patients admitted daily; 1% transferred

• Fast Track in ED (MD staffed; 0% of total volume treated by Fast Track)

• Full ED staff support: locum will not supervise other providers

• Hospitalist writes admission orders

• Current EHR: Cerner

🩺 Responsibilities

• Provide full-scope EM care in a high-acuity, freestanding ED

• Perform standard EM procedures as required (see practice description)

• Deliver patient care independently with support from full ED staff

• Participate in orientation/training at half of hourly rate

💰 Compensation & Schedule

• Hourly rate: $310/hr

• Overtime & Holiday: 1.5x

• Orientation rate: ½ hourly rate

✅ Required Qualifications

• Board Certified in EM, IM, or FM (2+ years EM experience; truly board-eligible considered)

• Active Michigan license (no IMLC accepted)

• BLS, ACLS, ATLS certifications

• Must be local to Michigan

• Clean background for quick credentialing

• NPDB Self-Query within 30 days at presentation

• Candidate must provide: home address, phone, email, DOB, exact availability, and rates
