Position Overview

A busy Level III Trauma Center in Massachusetts is seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Emergency Medicine Physician to provide locum tenens coverage. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-supported Emergency Department with flexible shift options and strong clinical resources.

Emergency Department Details

• 55,000 annual ED volume

• 32-bed Emergency Department

• Level III Trauma Center

• EMR: Meditech

• 8-, 11-, and 12-hour shifts available

• Highest need for morning and night coverage

• APP coverage in place

• Admissions handled by hospitalist team

• ED responsible for EMS radio communication

• Deliveries sent directly to Labor & Delivery

• 30-minute on-call response requirement

Compensation & Logistics

• $250–$300 per hour (based on experience and availability)

• Hotel reimbursement provided

• Expedited credentialing with temporary privileges available

• Local providers only (no flights)

Requirements

• ABEM Board Certified or Board Eligible (within 5 years of residency)

• Active Massachusetts license (strongly preferred at submission)

• ATLS, ACLS, and BLS certifications required

• Clean background for streamlined credentialing

• NPDB self-query (within 30 days)

• Availability required at time of submission
