Position Overview
One of our Partners, in North Carolina is seeking a Board-Certified Emergency Medicine Physician to provide night shift Emergency Department coverage. Coverage includes specific March and April 2026 dates with 12-hour night shifts (7:30 PM – 7:30 AM).
Pay Ranking: Top 15% of North Carolina locum EM night rates (2026 market data)
Minimum of 2 years Emergency Medicine experience required. IM and FM physicians with strong emergency experience will be considered.
New providers must arrive the day prior to first shift for orientation.

Job Responsibilities

Provide independent Emergency Department coverage for night shifts

Evaluate, diagnose, and treat emergent and urgent medical conditions

Stabilize patients for transfer when appropriate

Perform procedures within scope of EM practice

Coordinate with hospitalists and transfer services as needed

Maintain accurate and timely EPIC documentation
Skills & Experience
-
Board Certified Emergency Medicine preferred

Will accept IM or FM physicians with strong ED experience

Minimum 2 years Emergency Medicine experience

Active North Carolina license
-
BLS, ACLS, ATLS certifications (AHA required)

DEA required
