🌄 Emergency Medicine Physician Needed – Tahlequah, OK | 3 Shifts/Week | April 2026 Start | 12-Hour Shifts

Position: Emergency Medicine Physician (MD/DO)

Assignment Dates: April 6, 2026 – July 4, 2026
Compensation: $280/Hour
Shifts: 12-hour shifts | 3 days per week
Schedule Mix: Days & Nights

🏥 Facility Overview

• 33 total beds (13 ER + 20 ER overflow)

• 200–230 patients per day (combined ED & UC volume)

• Double physician coverage

• Cerner EMR

• Average 2.5–3 patients per hour

• 16–22 patients per physician depending on acuity

🕒 Shift Times

• Days: 7a–7p, 8a–8p, 10a–10p, 11a–11p, 12p–12a

• Nights: 7p–7a

• Mostly days, but must be flexible for nights, weekends & holidays

👩‍⚕️ Clinical Support

Strong in-house and on-call backup including:

• 24/7 Pediatric & Hospitalist coverage

• Ortho

• STEMI call

• ENT

• Podiatry

• Nephrology (no inpatient dialysis)

• OB

• Behavioral Health

Cases include typical emergency department acuity across all age groups (acute & chronic care).

✅ Requirements

• Active Oklahoma License

• Board Certified (Preferred) or Board Eligible

• ED experience required (Minimum 2 years in ED or Urgent Care)

• ED Board Certified preferred; FM Boarded accepted with strong ED experience

• ACLS, PALS, BLS (AHA)

• Comfortable treating all ages
