Job description We are currently seeking a Board-Certified Emergency Medicine Physician for a locum tenens opportunity in Laredo, Texas. This is a 6-month assignment at a well-established hospital with consistent volume, strong specialty support, and structured scheduling.

If you are looking for steady coverage in a Level III Trauma setting with advance schedule planning and full support onsite, this may be a strong fit.



Position Overview:
Location: Laredo, TX
Specialty: Emergency Medicine
Schedule: 12-hour shifts
Duration: 6 months
Start: ASAP (credentialing required)
Annual Volume: ~30,000
Trauma Level: III
EMR: Cerner
Coverage Model: 24-hour physician coverage
Support: APP support, scribes, full specialty backup

Schedule is built 4–6 weeks in advance.



Requirements:
• ABEM Board Certified (MD/DO)
• Active Texas medical license
• Active Texas DEA (TX address required)
• ACLS, ATLS, PALS
• Recent Emergency Medicine experience
• Clean background for credentialing



Additional Details:
• Standard ED procedures
• Strong hospital infrastructure
• Established emergency department team
• Cross-credentialing may be required within affiliated facilities
