We are actively seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Emergency Medicine Physician for a locum tenens assignment in Grand Ledge, Michigan. This opportunity offers flexible 12-hour rotating shifts in a low-to-moderate volume emergency department with strong clinical support and 24/7 diagnostic services. Job Responsibilities
• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat acute illnesses and injuries in the emergency department
• Manage trauma, medical, and procedural emergencies
• Collaborate with nursing staff, consultants, and support teams
• Stabilize and transfer patients when higher-level care is required
• Interpret diagnostic tests including labs, CT, and X-ray
• Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation
• Follow established emergency medicine protocols and best practices
Qualifications
• Active Michigan medical license
• ATLS certification (from residency or current)
• Ability to work rotating day and night shifts
• Comfortable managing a wide range of emergency cases
• NPDB self-query report (recent)
• Strong clinical decision-making and communication skills
• Open to both experienced physicians and new graduates
Working Hours
• Rotating schedule (days and nights)
• Typical shift times: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Weekend coverage required
• No on-call responsibilities
