Job Responsibilities
Provide high-quality emergency care in a Level III Trauma Center 🏥
Float between two hospital sites to cover morning and night shifts
Manage emergency department patients; codes are not the physician’s responsibility 🚫
Supervise and coordinate paramedics and ambulance communications 📻
Collaborate with Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) in the ED 👩⚕️👨⚕️
Ensure timely response to on-call requirements (typically within 30 minutes) ⏱️
Coordinate patient admissions with hospitalists; admissions are not the physician’s responsibility
Maintain accurate documentation in Meditech EMR 💻
Participate in a team-based, patient-focused environment 🤝
Qualifications
ABEM Board Certified or Board Eligible (within 5 years of residency) 🎓
Active Massachusetts medical license preferred 📄
BLS, ACLS, ATLS certifications 🩺
Clean background and ability to provide Self-Query NPDB
Local provider; no flights required ✈️🚫
Availability to work morning and night shifts in two hospital locations
Experience working in Level III Trauma Center or similar environment
Ability to collaborate with APPs, hospitalists, and ED team members 🤝
Working Hours
Shifts available: 8-hour, 11-hour, and 12-hour shifts 🗓️
Coverage needed: Morning and night shifts 🌅🌙
Floating schedule: Physician will rotate between two hospital sites
On-call requirements: Must respond within 30 minutes when on call 📞
