Physician - Emergency Med - ABEM Required - FL

Shift & Schedule

• Shift Type: Variable (Sunday through Saturday)

• Shift Length: 12-hour shifts

  • Day Shift: 7:45 AM – 7:45 PM

  • Night Shift: 7:45 PM – 7:45 AM

• Call Requirement: Yes

• Rounding: Emergency Department

• Solo Coverage: Provider will work solo for part of the time

Patient Population

• Covers all patient demographics, including pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations

• Manages a full spectrum of emergency medical conditions, trauma, and acute presentations

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive emergency medical care, including evaluation, diagnosis, stabilization, and treatment

• Perform emergency procedures and life-saving interventions as required

• Manage patient flow, disposition, and coordination of care (admissions, transfers, discharges)

• Work independently during designated solo coverage shifts

• Collaborate with nursing staff, consultants, and ancillary services

• Participate in call coverage and ED rounding

• Maintain timely and accurate documentation in the electronic medical record

• Adhere to hospital policies, clinical protocols, and quality standards

Licensure & Qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school

• Board Certified in Emergency Medicine

  • ABEM or AOBEM (current required)

• Licensure:

  • Oregon license preferred at time of presentation, especially due to starting timeframe

• Certifications Required:

  • ACLS

  • PALS

  • ATLS (at least once demonstrated / board certified)

  • Any additional certifications required by the MSO

• EMR Experience:

  • EPIC — proficient user required
