Emergency Medicine Physician

This vital role involves delivering high-quality, urgent, and emergent care to a diverse patient population in a 25-bed critical access hospital nestled in the scenic White Mountains of Northern New Hampshire. With a focus on excellence and compassion, you'll be part of an integrated team committed to providing outstanding emergency services 24/7, ensuring that patients receive timely, expert care in a secure and supportive environment.
Required Skills:
- Valid New Hampshire medical license in hand
- Board eligibility or certification in Emergency Medicine
- Proven ability to triage and manage critically ill or injured patients with efficiency and compassion
- Excellent clinical judgment and decision-making skills
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities
- Ability to work independently during 24-hour shifts
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience working in rural or critical access hospital settings
- Familiarity with telemedicine or electronic health records systems
- Additional certifications in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS), or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree
- At least 2 years of emergency medicine experience or equivalent
- Prior experience in a community or critical access hospital
Other Requirements:
- Availability for 24-hour shifts (9 a.m. to 9 a.m.)
- Drive-in candidate preferred; flexibility for schedule coverage in March 2026
- Support available from APPs during shifts (10 a.m. – 10 p.m.)
- Commitment to providing high-quality, patient-centered emergency care
- Willingness to support community health initiatives
