Patients Per Day:

Approximately 80 total

Average of 1.8 patients per hour per physician

Family Medicine / Emergency Medicine Procedures & Skills Include:

Adult outpatient care
-
Pediatric general outpatient care

Newborn resuscitation
-
Orthopedic care (non-displaced fractures)
-
Suturing of minor lacerations
-
Incision and drainage
-
Psychiatric evaluation (uncomplicated adult, child/adolescent, and geriatric)
-
Diagnosis and management of common industrial-related medical problems
-
Ventilation management (establishing and maintaining airway; various modes up to 24 hours without pulmonary consultation)
-
Evaluation and management of acute volume and blood pressure issues
-
Central line placement
-
Arterial line placement
-
EKG interpretation
-
Arthrocentesis
-
Lumbar puncture
-
Paracentesis
-
Emergency Medicine–related procedures
-
Board Certified only (No BE)
-
IM or FM accepted with minimum of 2+ years of recent ED experience

Michigan medical license — required, no exceptions (IMLC not accepted)

Certification Requirements:

ACLS, BLS, PALS — required

ABEM or AOBEM: ATLS only required

FM/IM: ATLS required
