Required Skills:
- Active medical license in Michigan or equivalent mobility
- Board certification or eligibility in Emergency Medicine
- Proven experience in adult and pediatric outpatient emergency settings
- Proficiency in performing procedures such as ACLS, airway management, EKG interpretation, lumbar punctures, and minor surgical interventions
- Strong clinical decision-making and patient management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Familiarity with Cerner EHR or equivalent electronic medical records system
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience with pediatric and geriatric patient populations
- Prior work in a hospital-based emergency department
- Advanced procedures like central line placement, arterial line insertion
- Knowledge of industrial medicine and management of related medical issues
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Medical Degree (MD or DO)
- Completion of accredited residency or fellowship in Emergency Medicine
- Minimum of 2 years of emergency medicine experience in a high-volume ED
Other Requirements:
- Availability for varied shift times, including day, evening, overnight, and holiday coverage
- Must clock in and out using DocTime; no manual timesheets accepted
- Willingness to work onsite at McLaren Bay City
- No travel or lodging arrangements through external travel agencies; eligible expenses reimbursed per policy
- Orientation hours paid at half the hourly rate
- Shift pay rate of $400/hour, with a maximum cap of $400/hour and holiday pay of 1.5x
