Required Skills:
- Board Certification in Emergency Medicine
- Valid and unrestricted medical license in Michigan or eligibility
- Proven ability to manage a high-volume ED independently
- Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Ability to supervise midlevel providers and respond to hospital codes as needed
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience with Cerner Electronic Health Record (EHR) system
- Prior ED experience in a Level 4 trauma setting
- Familiarity with hospital transfer protocols and paramedic supervision
- Additional certifications such as ACLS, ATLS, and PALS
Preferred Education and Experience:
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
- At least 2 years of emergency medicine practice, ideally in a hospital setting
- Board Certified in Emergency Medicine
Other Requirements:
- Commitment to a start date of March 1, 2026
- Availability for varied shifts, including 8a-8p and 8p-8a, 7 days a week
- Willingness to undergo credentialing (approximately 90 days)
- Must clock in/out using DocTime; no timesheets accepted
- Local or state medical license required; proprietary hospital credentials preferred
- Coverage for orientation and training at $400/hour
