Key Skills and Qualifications:
- Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution
- Valid medical license in Michigan
- Board certification or eligibility in Emergency Medicine
- Proven experience in emergency department settings
- Strong clinical judgment and decision-making skills
- Excellent communication and team collaboration abilities
- Ability to adapt to high-pressure situations and capacity for multitasking
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience with hospital-based radiology protocols (CT and X-ray)
- Familiarity with 24/7 lab operations
- Previous work in a float pool or PRN setting
- Knowledge of electronic medical records (EMR) systems, preferably DocTime
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Medical degree from an accredited program
- Minimum of 2 years of emergency medicine experience
- Prior locum or PRN experience in hospital emergency departments
Other Requirements:
- Must complete immunization requirements, including Hep B, MMR, Varicella (vaccine series or immune titer), Flu shot (seasonal), COVID-19 documentation, TB testing within 12 months, and TDAP (within the last 10 years)
- Availability for varied 12-hour shifts (8AM–8PM or 8PM–8AM)
- Reliable clock-in/out using DocTime (no timesheets)
- Willingness to support ongoing coverage needs from March 1, 2026
- Travel and lodging expenses are subject to company policies and are not including third-party bookings
