Seeking a Locum Emergency Medicine Physician for 24-hour shift coverage starting March 1, 2026. This opportunity supports coverage during a recruitment gap in a moderate-volume, free-standing emergency department. The physician will work with full ED staff support and manage a broad range of emergency presentations in a low-transfer, community-based setting.
Job Responsibilities
• Manage an average of approximately 30 patients per day
• Perform emergency medicine procedures as required
• Collaborate with full ED nursing and support staff
• Stabilize patients and determine appropriate admissions or transfers
• Document patient care using EMR
• Ensure high-quality, efficient emergency care delivery
Qualifications
• Active Michigan Medical License at time of name clear (Required; IMLC not accepted)
• BLS, ACLS, and ATLS Certifications (Required)
• Local candidate required (no exceptions)
• Clean background for expedited credentialing
• NPDB Self-Query (pulled within 30 days of presentation)
Working Hours
• Weekend coverage required
• No on-call requirements
• Start date: March 1, 2026
• PRN shifts distributed via provider float pool
