Coverage Needed
- Start Date: 3/1/2026
- End Date: 12/31/2026
- Shift: 8a-8p and 8p-8a, 7 days a week
Clinical Details
- Average patient volume per day: 54
- Number of beds: 18
- Trauma Level: Provisional Level 4
- EMR: Cerner
- Support Staff: One full-time Midlevel, two PRNs, four full-time physicians, one PRN
- Supervise midlevel on duty
- ED staff responds to house codes; hospitalist handles admissions
- Percent (%) of total hospital admissions received from ED: 90
- Percent (%) of ED patients admitted to the hospital per day: 8
- Percent (%) of ED patients transferred per day: 2
- Annual ER volume: 20,000
- House codes secondary to ED emergencies: yes, also have hospitalist responding and running the codes
- Anesthesia available for backup during the day
- Attend codes to provide airway support
- L&D has a clinic
- ED responsible for monitoring/supervising Paramedics/ambulance by radio
- Air ambulance response time & travel time to referral center: around 20-30 min
- 24 hour availability for CT XR, Laboratory, OR
- Blood Bank-certified by AABB
- Pathology available
- Surgical Services: Ortho
- Description of Consultants: Cardiologist (does official interp, have printed ekgs to sign off on in er)
Requirements
- Board Certified in EM or FP with 2+ years of ER experience
- Must be local (Will cover rental car/Lodging but no flights)
- Clean background
- DEA
- MI License
- ATLS/PALS required for non-EM boarded physicians
- Copy of NPDB self-query (within 30 days)
