Locum Emergency Medicine Physician

Seeking Locum Emergency Medicine Physicians to join a Float Pool covering open PRN onsite shifts. Available dates are shared via email once a provider is accepted. This opportunity supports a growing emergency department with increasing patient volume.

Schedule & Shift Structure

• 12-hour or 24-hour shifts

  • Day: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM

  • Night: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM

• Specific open shifts include both day and overnight coverage in January and February 2026

• PRN coverage model with additional dates anticipated

Practice Environment & Volume

• Projected annual ED volume: ~15,000 visits

• Patient volume:

  • First 6 months: ~20 patients/day

  • By end of Year 1: ~40 patients/day

• Radiology: 24/7 CT and X-ray (no MRI)

• Laboratory: 24/7 lab services (no blood bank)

• Surgical services: Available at other location

Coverage & Operations

• Onsite clinical coverage only

• Reverse billing site; providers must clock in/out via DocTime

• Orientation provided prior to independent shifts

Provider Requirements

• Board Certified Emergency Medicine physician

• ATLS required

• Active Michigan medical license

• Must meet occupational health clearance requirements, including:

  • Hep B, MMR, Varicella (vaccines or titers)

  • Flu (current season)

  • COVID documentation

  • TB testing (within 12 months)

  • TDAP (within 10 years)

• Presentation requires candidate contact details and DOB

• Credentialing subject to client travel and expense policies

• Med staff fees are not reimbursed
