Seeking Locum Emergency Medicine physicians to join a float pool covering PRN shifts during a recruitment gap. Accepted providers will receive open shift availability via email.

Staffing & Support

Full nursing support

12 hours of APP coverage daily

Emergency Medicine residents present

Locum physician will supervise APPs and residents

Clinical Scope & Required Skills

Broad emergency medicine skill set, including adult, pediatric, and geriatric care

Newborn resuscitation
-
Orthopedic injury management (non-displaced fractures)
-
Minor procedures (suturing, incision & drainage)
-
Psychiatric evaluations (uncomplicated cases across age groups)
-
Airway management and ventilation (up to 24 hours without pulmonary consult)

Hemodynamic and volume management
-
Central and arterial line placement
-
EKG interpretation
-
Arthrocentesis, lumbar puncture, paracentesis

Full range of standard emergency medicine procedures
Technology & Workflow

Reverse billing system; providers must clock in/out using DocTime

No paper timesheets accepted
Requirements
-
Board Certified in Emergency Medicine (ABEM or AOBEM only; no BE)
-
Active Michigan medical license (IMLC not accepted)
-
BLS certification
-
Prior ED experience highly preferred

Must be a local provider (required)

Clean background for expedited credentialing
-
NPDB self-query within 30 days at presentation
