We are seeking a dedicated and experienced physician to join our float pool for emergency medicine coverage in Bay City, Michigan. Job Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive emergency medical care to patients in a fast-paced environment.
- Conduct assessments and develop treatment plans for a variety of medical conditions.
- Perform necessary procedures including suturing, incision and drainage, and managing respiratory issues.
- Collaborate with the medical team to ensure quality patient care and safety.
- Take part in ongoing training and orientation as needed.
- Document patient care effectively and efficiently in the electronic health record.
Qualifications:
- Board Certified in Emergency Medicine preferred, but Internal Medicine or Family Medicine with ED experience will be considered.
- Minimum of 2 years of recent emergency experience required.
- Must have a current Michigan medical license.
- Current certifications in ACLS, BLS, and PALS are mandatory.
- Ability to work effectively in a high-pressure environment and make quick decisions.
- Clean background for swift credentialing.
- Local candidates preferred; must provide availability upon application.
License & Certification Requirements:
- Active Michigan medical license (no exceptions).
- Board Certification in Emergency Medicine or documentation of equivalent experience.
- Current ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications are required; ATLS certification for certain specialties may be accepted.
- Documentation of flu vaccination and other health requirements as specified.
