Locum Physician - Emergency Medicine

Join a dynamic emergency medicine team in Grand Ledge, Michigan! Our facility is creating a Float Pool of providers to fill open PRN shifts. This vibrant area is known for its friendly atmosphere and community spirit, making it an excellent place to live and work.

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide 12-hour shift coverage (8 AM–8 PM or 8 PM–8 AM).
• Manage an annual ER volume of approximately 15,000 visits.
• Handle an average patient volume of about 20 patients per day during the initial six months, increasing to around 40 patients per day by the end of the first year.
• Utilize 24/7 CT and X-ray radiology services.
• Collaborate with on-site lab services available 24/7, excluding a blood bank.
• Access surgical services at the nearby Lansing location.

Qualifications:

• Board Certified in Emergency Medicine (ABEM or AOBEM) - No FM/IM candidates permitted.
• Proof of ATLS certification from residency.
• Active Michigan medical license required.
• New graduates are encouraged to apply.
• NPDB self-query report required for presentation (must be pulled within the last 30 days).

Licenses and Certifications:

• Must hold a valid Michigan medical license.
• ATLS certification.
• Board certification in Emergency Medicine is mandatory.
