Locums - Englewood, Florida, Emergency Medicine Openings

RecruitWell is seeking Emergency Medicine physicians for ongoing locum coverage in Englewood, Florida. This opportunity offers flexible scheduling across a modern main hospital ED and affiliated freestanding emergency departments (FSEDs).

• Start: ASAP

• Locum Need: Equivalent of 2 FTEs

• Minimum Commitment: 6–8 shifts per month

• Shift Times:

• 7:00a–7:00p

• 7:00p–7:00a

Scheduling Expectations:

Providers must be flexible to work days, nights, and weekends

Preference for providers open to working at both the main hospital and affiliated FSEDs

Main hospital may consider shifts shorter than 12 hours

FSEDs require 12-hour shifts

• Main ED: 18 beds

• Annual ED Volume: ~20,000

• Daily Volume (Main ED):

• Average: ~60 patients/day

• Summer: low 50s/day

• Peak (Jan–Mar): up to 70/day

Physician Coverage: 24 hours/day (12-hour shifts)

APP Coverage: During peak times

EMR: Meditech P-doc with M-Modal dictation

Designation: AHCA Primary Stroke Center

• State-of-the-art, modern ED design

• Complete renovation and expansion completed March 2022

• Onsite diagnostics including MRI, CT, X-ray, and Ultrasound

• Dedicated phlebotomy support during surges, difficult sticks, and sepsis/stroke alerts

• Board Certified: ABEM or AOBEM – Required

• ACLS – Required

• Flexible scheduling with the ability to work across multiple sites

• Modern, recently renovated emergency department

• Balanced patient volumes with strong diagnostic and clinical support
