Locums - Largo, Florida, Emergency Medicine Opening

RecruitWell is seeking Emergency Medicine physicians for an ASAP, long-term locum opportunity in Largo, Florida. This is a high-acuity emergency department with strong specialty support and excellent pathology, offering a full year of coverage needs.

• Start: ASAP

• Duration: 1 year

• Shift Lengths: 9–12 hours

• Shift Coverage Needed: AM & PM shifts

• Orientation: One shift

• Reason for Coverage: Two physicians relocated

• Emergency Department Bays: 30

• Patient Volume: ~2.0 patients/hour

• Patient Mix: High acuity

• Service Line: Strong specialty coverage with minimal transfers

• Triage Model:

  • Nurse/APP triage for lower acuity

  • 2 APPs covering 10-hour shifts

• Support Staff: Experienced nurses and ED techs

• EMR: Meditech FLG

• Board Certified ABEM or ABOEM – Required

• Emergency Medicine Residency Trained – Required

• New Grads Accepted

• 2 years of case logs – Required

• ACLS & PALS – Required

• High-acuity medicine with excellent pathology

• Strong support services and minimal transfers

• Flexible shift lengths

• Long-term stability with a 1-year assignment
