Job description
We are seeking a Board-Certified Emergency Medicine Physician to provide locum tenens coverage at a busy community hospital Emergency Department in Dublin, Georgia. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a well-supported ED with APP triage and a diverse patient population.
Position Details:
- Practice Setting: Community hospital Emergency Department
- Trauma Designation: Level III Trauma Center
- ED Bays: 28
- Annual ED Volume: ~54,000 visits per year
- Patient Mix: Typical for a sole community hospital
- ED Admission Rate: Approximately 15%
- APP/Nurse Triage: Yes, available for lower-acuity patients
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and manage a full spectrum of emergency medicine cases
- Provide care for medical, surgical, and trauma presentations
- Supervise and collaborate with APPs and nursing staff as needed
- Ensure timely, high-quality, and patient-centered emergency care
- Participate in trauma activations consistent with Level III designation
Requirements:
- Board Certified in Emergency Medicine (ABEM or AOBEM required) Can not accept IM/ FM boards
- Active Georgia medical license or ability to obtain
- ACLS, BLS, and ATLS (preferred)
- Strong clinical skills and ability to work efficiently in a high-volume ED
