A high-volume Emergency Medicine opportunity is available in Tahlequah, Oklahoma, offering a dynamic clinical environment with strong specialty backup and a mix of day and night shifts. This position is ideal for physicians who thrive in a fast-paced ED and are comfortable caring for patients of all ages.

Combined ED and Urgent Care volume of 200+ patients daily

Physicians typically see 16–22 patients per shift

Job Responsibilities
Provide high-quality Emergency Medicine care to patients of all ages
Evaluate, diagnose, and manage acute and chronic medical conditions
Manage a wide range of Emergency Department cases with appropriate acuity-based prioritization 🚑
Perform and interpret emergency procedures, labs, and imaging
Collaborate with nursing staff, consultants, and specialty services
Ensure accurate and timely documentation in the Cerner EMR 💻
Participate in day and night shift coverage, including weekends and holidays
Adhere to all clinical protocols, quality standards, and patient safety guidelines
Qualifications
MD or DO
Active Oklahoma medical license
Emergency Medicine board certified or board eligible
Family Medicine with Emergency Department experience considered
Minimum 2 years Emergency Department or Urgent Care experience
Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
Active DEA
Ability to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays
Comfortable treating patients of all ages
Working Hours
12-hour shifts
Approximately 3 shifts per week
Mix of day and night shifts 🌙
Day shifts may include: 7a–7p, 8a–8p, 10a–10p, 11a–11p, 12p–12a
Night shifts: 7p–7a
Weekend and holiday coverage required as scheduled
Skills
Efficient management of high-volume ED patients
Strong clinical judgment and procedural skills
Comfortable treating all age groups
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment 🚑
Effective communication and teamwork
Proficient with Cerner EMR 💻
