• Clinical Shift Schedule: Flexible schedule; shifts assigned 4–6 weeks in advance

• Patient Demographics: Adults and Pediatrics
• Patient Volume/Census: Approximately 30,000 annual ED visits
• Admissions: As clinically indicated
• Rounding: Included
• Phone Consults: Yes
• Case Mix: Emergency Medicine, Trauma, Behavioral Health, OB/GYN, Medical and Surgical Emergencies

FACILITY INFORMATION
• No. of Beds in Department: 18 ED beds including 3 Fast Track beds
• Trauma Level: Level III
• EMR System: Cerner
• Office Equipment Available: Standard ED equipment
• Specialty Backup Available: Obstetrics/GYN, ENT, Pediatrics, Cardiology, Orthopedics, Internal Medicine, Radiology, Family Practice, Pathology, Surgery, Ophthalmology, Urology, Pulmonology, Pain Management
• Support Staff Available: Advanced Practitioners, Scribes, Nursing Staff
• Reason for Coverage: Supplemental coverage

PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE
• Hospital Privileges Required: Yes

REQUIRED PROCEDURES
• Emergency stabilization and resuscitation
• Trauma evaluation and management
• Advanced airway management

JOB REQUIREMENTS
• Licenses: Active Texas medical license required
• Board: Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine, ABEM preferred; FP/IM with EM experience considered
• DEA: Active DEA for Texas required; CSR as applicable
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS required
• Experience: Emergency Medicine experience required
• Other Qualifications: Must have license and board certification in hand at time of presentation

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Provide comprehensive emergency medical care to adult and pediatric patients
• Evaluate, diagnose, and manage acute and emergent conditions
• Collaborate with specialty backup and inpatient services
• Document patient encounters accurately using EMR systems
• Participate in a team-based staffing model to ensure continuous ED coverage
