Job description Locums – Emergency Medicine - Dyersville, Iowa (IMLC Accepted) Assignment Overview
  • Coverage Type: Emergency Medicine

  • Shift Length: 24-hour shifts (7:00 AM – 7:00 AM)

  • Occasionally 12-hour shifts

  • Minimum Shifts Required: 3 (24-hour shifts) per pay period

  • On Call: In-house coverage

  • Provider sleep room available

  • Feb 22 @ 7a – Feb 23 @ 7a

Patient Volume & Facility Details
  • Average ED Volume: 4 patients per day

  • Average Inpatient Census: 4 patients

  • Observation, acute, and swing bed

Patient Population Served: ~4,360

Emergency Department: 3 treatment rooms

Inpatient Beds: 20 medical-surgical beds

Staffing & Support

Advanced Practice Providers: 4

APP Supervision Required: No

Nursing Support: 2 RNs for all services

Ancillary Staff: 1 CNA per provider

Imaging: Medical imaging available

Lab & Pharmacy: On site

Facility Description

The hospital features a 3-bed Emergency Department and a 20-bed medical-surgical unit. Additional services include laboratory, radiology, rehabilitation services, infusion services, and ambulatory surgery.

Required Qualifications (No Exceptions)
  • Board Certified ABEM or FP/IM with recent EM experience – Required

  • Active Iowa license – Required

  • Clean malpractice and background history – Required
