Our esteemed healthcare network is actively recruiting a highly qualified Locum Physician to provide exceptional emergency care at Lansing area hospitals. This pivotal role offers the chance to work with a dynamic team, support critical patient needs, and enjoy attractive compensation and benefits.
Required Skills:
- Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution
- Valid state medical license and board certification in Emergency Medicine
- Proven experience in emergency department settings with proficiency in adult and pediatric emergency care
- Strong procedural skills including airway management, EKG interpretation, lumbar puncture, suturing, and other EM procedures
- Ability to supervise and collaborate with APPs, residents, and other healthcare providers
- Excellent clinical judgment, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Familiarity with Cerner EHR or similar electronic health record systems
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience in trauma settings, Level 3 trauma certification preferred
- Prior work in fast-track or high-volume emergency departments
- Additional certifications such as ATLS, PALS, or ACLS
- Bilingual capabilities to enhance patient interactions
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years post-residency emergency medicine experience
- Proven ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Other Requirements:
- Must be comfortable working varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to adapt to hospital policies and procedures
- Comfortable using DocTime for clock-in/out, adhering to reverse billing protocols
- Credentialing and compliance with all state and federal healthcare regulations
