Job description
We are seeking a Locums Emergency Medicine Physician to provide coverage in Dyersville, Iowa, at a low-volume, community-based hospital. This opportunity offers extended shifts with in-house call coverage and a supportive clinical environment.
Position Details:
- Schedule: Minimum of 3 shifts per pay period
- Shift Length:
- Primarily 24-hour shifts (7:00 AM – 7:00 AM)
- Occasional 12-hour shifts
- Call: In-house call coverage
- Provider sleep room available
- Weekend Coverage: As needed
Clinical Volume:
- Emergency Department: Average 4 ED patients per day
- Hospital Census: Average 4 inpatients daily (observation, acute, and swing bed patients)
Requirements:
- Board Certified/Board Eligible
- ABEM certified or
- Family Medicine or Internal Medicine with recent Emergency Medicine experience
- Active Iowa medical license or active IMLC
- ACLS, BLS (preferred)
