- Setting: Free-standing Emergency Department
- Annual ED Volume: ~9,000 visits
- Average Daily Volume: ~30 patients
- ED Beds: 20
- Admissions from ED: ~70% of total hospital admissions
- ED Admission Rate: ~1%
- ED Transfer Rate: ~1%
- EMR: Cerner
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate, diagnose, and treat emergency department patients of varying acuity.
- Perform emergency procedures consistent with training and scope of practice.
- Stabilize and manage patients requiring admission or transfer.
- Collaborate with nursing staff and consulting providers as needed.
- Complete timely and accurate documentation using Cerner EMR.
Requirements:
- Board Certified in Emergency Medicine
- Active Michigan medical license
- BLS certification required
