Locum - Emergency Medicine - MD/DO

Job Opportunity: Locum Physician - Emergency Medicine

Join a dedicated team at a facility located in West Branch, Michigan, approximately 56 miles from McLaren Bay Hospital. This modern emergency department operates with a full ED staff and has an annual ER volume of around 9,000 visits, providing an opportunity to make a significant impact in the local community.

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide emergency care for approximately 30 patients per day.
• Participate in the supervision of ED staff.
• Utilize Cerner EHR for patient documentation.
• Respond to medical emergencies, treating a variety of acute conditions.
• Engage in fast track services within the ED as needed.
• Collaborate with hospitalists for patient admissions and transfers.

Qualifications:

• Board Certified in Emergency Medicine (No BE; open to IM/FM with 2+ years of recent EM experience).
• Active Michigan Medical License required, no exceptions.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and ATLS certifications.
• Must have a clean background for quick credentialing.
• Local providers preferred; no exceptions.

License and Certification Requirements:

• Board Certification (Emergency Medicine)
• Valid Michigan Medical License
• BLS, ACLS, and ATLS certifications
