Job Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive emergency medical care to diverse patient populations.
- Supervise and support APPs and residents in the Emergency Department.
- Manage acute volume and blood pressure issues effectively.
- Perform essential procedures including suturing, intubation, and lumbar punctures.
- Utilize the Cerner EHR system for patient documentation and management.
- Participate in a fast-track service within the ED, ensuring efficient patient flow.
- Collaborate with hospitalists for admission orders and care transitions.
Qualifications:
- ABEM or AOBEM Board Certification (No Board Eligible candidates accepted).
- Prior experience in an emergency department setting is highly preferred.
- Current Michigan Medical License without exceptions (no IMLC accepted).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Clean background suitable for quick credentialing.
- Provider must be local to the Lansing area.
- Documentation including NPDB self-query must be submitted (within 30 days).
License and Certification Requirements:
- Michigan Medical License - Required.
- Board Certification in Emergency Medicine - Required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification - Required.
