🚑 A high-volume hospital-based Emergency Department (Level III Trauma Center) is seeking Board-Certified Emergency Medicine Physicians for locum tenens coverage due to a recruitment gap. You’ll join a well-supported department with APP and resident coverage, strong nursing support, and excellent clinical resources 💪

• 1/2–1/3: 4:00 PM–2:00 AM

• 1/14–1/15: 8:00 PM–7:00 AM

• 1/17–1/18: 2:00 PM–12:00 AM

• 1/18–1/19: 2:00 PM–12:00 AM

• 1/24: 8:00 AM–6:00 PM

• 2/1–2/2: 9:00 PM–7:00 AM

• 2/4–2/5: 9:00 PM–7:00 AM

• 2/8–2/9: 4:00 PM–2:00 AM

• 2/9–2/10: 4:00 PM–2:00 AM

• 2/11–2/12: 9:00 PM–7:00 AM

• 2/13: 11:00 AM–9:00 PM

• 2/14: 6:00 AM–4:00 PM or 11:00 AM–9:00 PM

• 2/15: 6:00 AM–4:00 PM or 11:00 AM–9:00 PM or 4:00 PM–2:00 AM

👩‍⚕️ Staffing & Coverage

• Full nursing support

• 12 hours/day of APP coverage

• Resident supervision required

• Hospitalist team writes admission orders

• ED staff does not respond to house codes

🧠 Required Clinical Skills

You should be comfortable with a broad EM procedural scope, including:
🫁 Airway management & ventilation
🩸 Central & arterial line placement
📉 EKG interpretation
🦴 Fracture management
✂️ Suturing & I&D
💉 Arthrocentesis, LP, paracentesis
🧠 Adult & pediatric psychiatric evaluations

✅ Requirements (All Required – No Exceptions)

✔️ Board Certified in Emergency Medicine (ABEM or AOBEM only)
✔️ Active Michigan license at time of name clear
✔️ BLS
✔️ Emergency Department experience preferred
✔️ Local providers only
