We are seeking a Board-Certified Emergency Medicine Physician (ABEM/AOBEM) for locum tenens coverage. Join a Level III Trauma Center with strong APP and nursing support in a modern, efficient emergency department.
Position Overview:
42-bed ED | ~40,000 annual visits
Full nursing support + 12 hours/day APP coverage
Fast Track staffed by APPs
Cerner EHR
Hospitalists handle admissions
Local providers only
Schedule Options (January–February 2026)
Multiple day, evening, and night shifts available — choose from the open dates listed.
Practice Environment:
110 patients/day
22% admission rate from ED
Minimal transfers (<1%)
Supervision of APPs and residents required
No response to house codes
Requirements:
Board Certified ABEM or AOBEM (no BE)
Active Michigan license
BLS required
Clean background for expedited credentialing
