Job Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive emergency care, including initial stabilization and management of adult patients.
  • Collaborate with a team of healthcare providers, including midlevels, to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.
  • Supervise midlevel providers during shifts as necessary.

Qualifications

  • Board Certified in Emergency Medicine or Family Practice with at least two years of ER experience.
  • Michigan medical license and a clean background.
  • Required certifications: ACLS, ATLS, PALS (for non-EM boarded physicians), BLS.
  • Compliance with health requirements, including vaccinations and TB testing.

Working Hours

  • Varied shifts with the possibility of overnight coverage from 8:00 PM to 8:00 AM.
  • Flexibility required to meet department needs and cover recruitment gaps.

Skills

  • Proficiency with the Cerner EHR system.
  • Strong communication skills for effective interaction with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
  • Ability to respond to codes and provide airway support.
  • Competency in managing high patient volumes and admissions efficiently.
