We are seeking a Board-Certified Emergency Medicine Locum Physician to provide 24-hour coverage at a well-supported, free-standing Emergency Department in West Branch, Michigan. This is an excellent opportunity offering top-tier compensation, efficient workflows, and full ED staffing.

• Free-standing Emergency Department

• Approximately 56 miles from a tertiary care hospital

💰 Compensation & Benefits

• $7,000 per 24-hour shift

• Holiday & OT: Holiday paid at premium rates, Orientation paid

• Coverage Date: March 29, 2026 (0800) – March 30, 2026 (0800) with ongoing dates TBD

• Reason for Coverage: Recruitment gap

• Schedule: 24-hour in-house shift

🏥 Emergency Department Overview

• Annual ED Volume: ~9,000 visits

• Average Patients/Day: ~30

• ED Beds: 20

• Full ED staff support

• Fast Track available (MD staffed)

• EHR: Cerner

• Hospitalist team writes admission orders

• ED staff does not respond to house codes

• No supervision of other providers required

🩺 Procedures & Practice

• Standard Emergency Medicine procedures

• Trauma and admissions managed efficiently with strong hospitalist support

✅ Requirements (All Required – No Exceptions)

• Board Certified (No BE)

  • IM or FM accepted with 2+ years of recent EM experience

• Active Michigan license

• BLS, ACLS, ATLS

• Local provider only

• Clean background for expedited credentialing

• Availability must match listed dates exactly
