We are seeking a board-certified Emergency Medicine Physician to provide locum tenens coverage in Inverness, FL.
This is an excellent opportunity for a physician seeking consistent scheduling in a high-acuity, community-focused environment. Coverage is needed beginning February 2026, and ongoing.
Job Details:
Setting: Acute Care Hospital
Location: Inverness, FL
Schedule: Full-time; 12-hour day shifts (7:00 AM–7:00 PM); Looking for providers to commit to 12 shifts per month
Additional Coverage: 36 hours of physician coverage and 40 hours of APP coverage daily
EMR System: Meditech P-doc EMR & M-Modal Dictation
Patient Volume: 45,000 annual ED visits; 28 ED beds
Practice Details:
No trauma
No OB/GYN
Low pediatric volume (6%)
Large adult and senior population with high acuity; supported by hospitalist team
Requirements:
Board Certification: ABEM or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine
State License: Florida license required (IMLC accepted; willing to license)
Certifications: ACLS and PALS
Experience: Prior hospital-based Emergency Medicine experience preferred
