We are seeking a Locums Emergency Medicine Physician to provide coverage at a brand-new Freestanding Emergency Department opening in Brownsville, Texas. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a new facility from the ground up, offering high-quality emergency care within a modern, well-equipped environment.
Responsibilities:
- Provide full-spectrum emergency medical care to patients of all ages
- Evaluate, stabilize, and treat acute illnesses and injuries
- Coordinate with the main hospital for admissions, transfers, and specialty consults as needed
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation in the EMR
- Collaborate with nursing and support staff to maintain efficient patient flow and high-quality care
Requirements:
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, or Internal Medicine
- ABEM not required – FM/IM physicians with demonstrated emergency medicine experience are encouraged to apply
- Active Texas medical license
- Current DEA, BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
