Full-Time Critical Care Intensivist Location: Westminster, MD Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Critical Care Intensivist A leading healthcare system in Maryland is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Critical Care Intensivist to join its established Critical Care team. This full-time position offers a mix of academic and community hospital settings, providing a diverse patient population and collaborative environment. Position Highlights • Approximately 13–14 twelve-hour shifts per month (mix of days, nights, and weekends). • Average of 4–5 night shifts per month, with dedicated nocturnists providing majority night coverage. • Opportunity to provide inpatient pulmonology coverage if desired. • Work with a team of 11 full-time Intensivists and 8 full-time Advanced Practice Providers. • Closed ICUs with strong multidisciplinary support and established protocols. • Teaching and mentoring opportunities with medical students and residents. • Diverse case mix, from moderate- to high-acuity patients. Procedural Skills • Central and arterial line placement (ultrasound-guided) • Intubation and airway management • Thoracentesis, paracentesis, lumbar puncture • Chest tube insertion (small and large bore) • Intraosseous (IO) line placement • Bedside ultrasound and procedural guidance Qualifications • Fellowship training in Critical Care Medicine required. • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Critical Care Medicine. • BE/BC in Pulmonology preferred but not required. • Eligible for unrestricted Maryland medical license, DEA, and CDS certification. • BLS and ACLS certification required. • Strong communication skills and a collaborative team approach. • Interest in teaching medical students and residents.
