Emergency Medicine Locum job in Quincy, IL

• We are seeking an ABEM-Certified Emergency Medicine Physician for an ongoing Locum Tenens opportunity in Illinois. This role offers flexible shift times at a high-volume ED, supported by extensive on-site resources.

Assignment Details

• Coverage Type: Clinic Only (Emergency Department Shifts)
• Call Requirement: No Call
• EMR: Epic
• Credentialing Timeline: 60 Days

Schedule & Commitment

• Minimum Commitment: Looking for one provider to cover a minimum of 4–6 shifts per month.

Shift Times (Varying):

• 6:00 AM – 4:00 PM
• 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM
• 2:00 PM – 12:00 AM
• 4:00 PM – 2:00 AM
• 10:00 PM – 8:00 AM
• Single Coverage: The provider is expected to be single coverage during the 2:00 AM – 6:00 AM block.

Facility & Scope of Work

• Annual Volume: 40,000 visits per year.
• Procedures: Expected to perform simple procedures, procedural sedation, and joint reductions.
• Rarely required to perform chest tubes or central lines.

Support:

• Supported by experienced NPs in the ED.
• Supported by attending physicians in all major specialties and subspecialty fields, including ortho trauma, general trauma, neurosurgery, and CT surgery.

• On-Site Helicopter service.
• Certified Chest Pain Center (door-to-call in under 30 mins).
• Certified Stroke Center (utilizes teleneurology).

Requirements

• Certification: ABEM Certified (Board Certified) is mandatory.
• License: Active Illinois (IL) License required.
