✅ Job Description
A hospital-based Emergency Department in Devils Lake, ND is seeking an ABEM Board-Certified Emergency Medicine Physician for a locum assignment. Provider will work varied shifts while managing all aspects of emergency care with no midlevel support on shift.
Assignment Details:

Shift Length: 10–12 hours

Schedule: Varied shifts

Patient Volume: ~1.4 patients/hour

Work Setting: Hospital | Level II Trauma Center

EMR: EPIC

Expected Duration: ~6 months locum with potential permanent transition
Job Responsibilities
Provide full-scope emergency medical care for adult and pediatric patients
Perform advanced procedures including intubation, chest tubes, central lines & procedural sedation
Manage OB/GYN emergencies and deliveries when required
Rapid assessment, stabilization & resuscitation of critical patients
Document patient encounters in EPIC EMR system
Collaborate with nursing and on-call specialists when needed
Ensure high-quality, safe, and timely patient care in a Level II Trauma setting
