We are seeking a skilled Emergency Medicine Physician to provide locum services in Panama City, FL. This is an excellent opportunity for a nocturnist seeking consistent scheduling in a high-volume acute care setting with long-term potential. Coverage is needed beginning February 2026, with an ongoing contract.
🏥 Job Details:
Setting: Acute care hospital with affiliated freestanding emergency departments (FSEDs)
Annual ED Volume: Approximately 155 patients/day; 20% admit rate
Schedule: 12-hour shifts (12p–10p, 4p–2a, 8p–6a); no call required
Coverage: 4–5 physician shifts and 5–6 APP shifts daily; no residents
Support Services: Pediatric coverage (9a–9p) and high-level specialty support; onboarding includes EMR training and two shadow shifts
📋 Requirements:
Board Certification: Required; ABEM/ABOEM preferred; IM/FM with Emergency Medicine experience accepted
License: Active FL license required; IMLC accepted
Procedural Skills: Must be proficient in emergency procedures
Credentialing Timeframe: Minimum 90 days; name clear process required
Additional Notes: Provider must be willing to work at affiliated FSEDs; no local candidates (must reside 50+ miles away)
