PATIENT INFORMATION
  • Patient Demographics: Adults and general population
  • Patient Volume/Census: Annual ED volume 6,404
  • Admissions: Yes, per ER case load
  • Rounding: Not required
  • Phone Consults: As needed for patient coordination
  • Case Mix: General emergency presentations across all acuity levels

FACILITY INFORMATION
  • Office Equipment Available: Standard emergency department setup
  • Specialty Backup Available: Hospital-based support as needed
  • Support Staff Available: Physicians and Advanced Practice Providers (APPs)
  • Reason for Coverage: Coverage need

PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE
  • Hospital Privileges Required: Yes
  • Temporary Privileges Available: Yes (41 days to credential)
  • Credentialing Timeline: 41 days

JOB REQUIREMENTS
  • Licenses: Active Illinois state license (required, must have in hand)
  • Board: Board Certified in Emergency Medicine (required)
  • DEA: Active Illinois DEA (required, must have in hand)
  • Experience: Prior emergency medicine experience preferred
  • Other Qualifications: Telehealth experience not required

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Provide comprehensive emergency medical care to all presenting patients
  • Evaluate, diagnose, and manage acute medical and traumatic conditions
  • Collaborate with APPs and nursing staff for patient care delivery
  • Ensure timely and accurate documentation of all encounters
  • Adhere to hospital protocols, credentialing, and compliance standards
  • Maintain readiness for flexible scheduling based on facility needs
