• Clinical Shift Schedule: 8a – 8p, flexible scheduling

PATIENT INFORMATION
• Patient Demographics: Adults in emergency and LTAC setting
• Patient Volume/Census: Approximately 6,400 annual visits
• Admissions: Yes, as clinically indicated
• Phone Consults: As needed
• Case Mix: Emergency and acute medical cases in LTAC setting

FACILITY INFORMATION
• Office Equipment Available: Standard ER and LTAC medical equipment
• Specialty Backup Available: Hospital-based specialty coverage as needed
• Support Staff Available: ER nurses, hospitalists, LTAC clinical staff
• Reason for Coverage: Full-time vacancy

PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE
• Hospital Privileges Required: Yes
• Temporary Privileges Available: No
• Credentialing Timeline: 41 days

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
• Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance: Not specified
• OT: Daily OT after 12 hours; Weekly OT after 168 hours (based on differential/fixed rates)

REQUIRED PROCEDURES
• Provide emergency medical care for adult patients in LTAC setting
• Perform patient assessments, stabilization, and acute management
• Manage emergency cases per facility protocol

JOB REQUIREMENTS
• Licenses: Active Kentucky medical license (must be in hand at presentation)
• Board: Board Certified in Emergency Medicine (required)
• DEA: Must have active Illinois DEA license in hand
• Certifications: Standard ER certifications preferred (ACLS, ATLS, BLS)
• Experience: Prior experience in emergency and/or LTAC environments preferred
• Other Qualifications: Must be eligible to work independently; strong documentation and communication skills

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Provide direct patient care for emergency and acute cases within LTAC setting
• Conduct assessments and deliver appropriate diagnostic and therapeutic interventions
• Ensure timely documentation and accurate charting of all clinical encounters
• Collaborate with hospital staff and specialists for patient management
• Adhere to hospital policies, protocols, and quality assurance standards
